Jul 18, 2018

Dayton, Ore. (July 18, 2018) –Archery Summit, a benchmark producer of estate-grown Dundee Hills Pinot Noir, is proud to introduce two new wines to its portfolio—the 2016 Dundee Hills Pinot Noir and 2016 Eola-Amity Hills Chardonnay. These new wines were created using the meticulous winegrowing and winemaking techniques on which Archery Summit has built its reputation as a world-class producer. Each wine is presented in refreshed packaging to commemorate the winery’s 25th anniversary.

“Archery Summit’s 25th anniversary was the ideal time to do something a bit new for the winery, and debuting our first Chardonnay is an exciting milestone,” said Archery Summit winemaker Ian Burch. “We look forward to continuing on the path of tradition alongside innovation during the next 25 years and beyond.”

The 2016 Dundee Hills Pinot Noir is drawn from the winery’s collection of estate vineyards and crafted to highlight the exceptional quality and unique characteristics of its home growing region. The hillside vineyards are densely-planted in rocky, basalt-based volcanic soil, leading to a wine of depth and concentration, displaying the hallmark red fruit and floral notes of the appellation.

The 2016 Eola-Amity Hills Chardonnay, the first Chardonnay produced by the winery, is a vibrant, lively expression of the varietal. The fruit is sourced from vineyards in the Eola-Amity Hills, a cooler growing region strongly influenced by maritime winds funneled through the Van Duzer corridor.

Further looking toward the future, all 2016 vintage wines are presented in elevated new packaging, released to commemorate Archery Summit’s 25th anniversary. The updated design stays true to the winery’s heritage, retaining elements that have been on the bottle since the first vintage in 1993. The packaging for all estate wines also references the vineyards’ LIVE certification, a program that supports environmentally and socially responsible winegrowing, demonstrating the winery’s dedication to stewardship of the land.

Archery Summit’s 2016 Dundee Hills Pinot Noir and 2016 Eola-Amity Hills Chardonnay are available at select retailers and restaurants nationwide. The Dundee Hills Pinot Noir retails for $65 and the Eola-Amity Hills Chardonnay for $45. Both can be purchased at www.archerysummit.com.
